Make Dexers Great Again!

I understand you are already in the process of making dexers a viable option in the mage/tamer dominated world. Some ideas i thought of:

Reduce self healing time! Unless you have a companion (which lets be real, doesnt work super well in this game since you have to be 2cm away at all times) your healing ability is rather lack luster. Drop self healing to same speed as healing someone else.

Give heavier armor more HP (Not sure if possible, but concept seemed cool to me): Each tier of armor gives bonus to HP at cost of dex and meditation ability. Right now, it mostly just hurts any dexer's ability to kill efficiently by murdering swing speed. Could have armor increase strength (which in turn increases HP) at cost of dex, maybe a 1:1 ratio Alternative fix to this would be removing or at least reducing dex debuff from armor. Leave meditation loss as is.

Make shields more useful: Give shields an increase to resists, helps with melee and magic mobs. Would be cool if it was tied to your parry skill so you dont have everyone running around with a heater shield on their mage...

Just some ideas, hope they at least open the door to some changes for the poor dexers.

YES PLEASE;

I don't understand game mechanics at all. But if there is a way to make dexers a viable option in group hunts, that would be awesome. I am in agreement with the Original poster.

I can not speak for anyone but myself, but if I am in a group hunt and someone shows up with a dragon ... the atmosphere changes drastically. Why?...bucause What I consider fun and challenging. A tamer with a dragon considers boring...

Case in point.

Some time ago in a land far away from Phoenix, I was with some dexer friends in a dungeon we considered dangerous and challenging. Another friend shows up with there dragon. They devoured the ogre lords like a dog eating little treats.
What for us dexers a few minutes ago, was run for your life exciting!! Is now ... Lets watch the dragon eat ogre's. I have now learned to politely excuse myself and go hunt solo in times like that.

So i agree that melee not necessarily be as strong as a tamer, but as it stands, they are relatively useless in comparison. I just think some QoL upgrades would go a long way to making them more viable. However, this will greatly impact PvP as i feel it is more designed for pve, where you are 1vmany at times

P.S: My LJ is macroing as we speak

there is a boost that can help everyone, add resistence at elements to the armor piece, this boost improve survivability of fighter, bard. arcer and every build you can use that doesn't have "something else" that take damage for him

Well we're going to run a little experiment this weekend. I've boosted the damage levels to all weapons and sped up the healing too. Let's see how that does and tweak it from there.

i can't play untill tomorrow evening,then i will give a try with my 6x lumber
but tbh the damage is just fine, my first issue is tanking damage especially from spell (i'm 99.7 resspell) and keeping my stam almost full.
i will never face a LL again
