Should we add a storage item at the expense of sacrificing all titles we currently own?

The Problem
There are currently 96 titles that could drop in the global loot system, along with 2-3 that were given out as unique gifts (i.e. The Twitchy). Each of these is a unique script in the database, and they are all base type "items". This means that they cannot easily be referenced in code. More on that in a minute. In addition, the scripts themselves are a bit of a mess owing to some borrowed code and poor planning on my part early on.

The Proposal
Create a title storage item such as a book or shelf that could hold an infinite number of titles, helping free up item space.

The Issue
In order to do this I will need to create a base item type "title" and convert each one of these scripts into that type. This will cause any title items in game to be deleted. I don't think this will affect titles already used by players, but I'm not certain.

The Question
Would anyone object to taking this action in order to reduce the number of scripts and items in game?

In this case I'll open it up to a simple majority rule vote and provide until the end of the month for a response. This is to allow those currently away from game to have some time to see this and respond. At the end of those two weeks the decision will be made, but it could take a little longer to implement.

First and go for it. I throw them all away now anyways. Take too much space and 1lb a pop

All the same to me. I enjoy them, but do not collect them.

Don't forget "the merely concerned"

Tell me again, where are we going, and why are we in a handbasket?

Why not at least compensate those people voting "no" by giving them a book filled with the title's they already collected. I mean i took alot of care in organizing them and had my own spreadsheet to keep track of which i had.
Collecting stuff with care, and then simply being removed by a GM is a big no-no in my book.

Actually I read everyone's chat yesterday and thought of a way I might be able to keep both. What would happen i I'd phase out the old titles with new titles of the same name, so that the new ones would be storable but the old ones would not, but eventually you could replace them as you find them. I figured that would be a good way to meet in the middle. Now, can I do it? Find out next time....same bat time, same bat channel!

That would be nice, if you can pull that one off.

Its all about the feels when collecting things. Knowing you put in alot of work and dedication into something, gives good vibes everytime you see it or walk past. A book with a bunch of letters doesnt cut it for me, a bookcase or chest full of scrolls thats a good "hit".

For me personally i kind of get a bad taste when i see one of a kind, or items that cannot be collected anymore. But i guess thats always how Ultima Online has been, so thats hard to argue about. But having items removed is another story.

For me its not about owning alot of things or hoarding as much as possible, its about going out there searching, finding it and reminders. All about the feels.

Sure, go for it.
It's better to have a normal and comfortable system of sorting than a whole mess that it's right now.
Plus the color systems seems totally random instead of it being color=rareness as I posted on Discord the other day.
Check out this page about this system and the features are really cool:
